Men's Day Out

Great News!

Carer Escapes are coming to the Central Coast and local male carers are being offered a great experience at scenic Glenworth Valley.

Based on 2016 Census data it is estimated around 13,000 men living on the Central Coast provide unpaid care and support to family members or friends who need help because of illness, disability or age.

Men's Day Out is an opportunity for some of these men to enhance their health and wellbeing with a day of fun and adventure, connecting with nature and spending time with other blokes who can relate to the responsibilities of caring.

Arriving at 9am, participants will have some time to meet and talk with each other before heading off on a leisurely paddle, exploring peaceful Popran Creek in a Kayak. Upon returning to base, the group will enjoy a BBQ lunch followed by a drumming workshop, learning about rhythm and technique in a fun and creative atmosphere. The day will finish off with a group discussion focused on the health benefits of having a Men's Day Out!

There is no cost for carers to attend this event thanks to funding from The Iris Foundation

Bookings are essential and places are limited so get in touch early to reserve your spot. Book Here.
